Old: Pokemon White

mokasuiAssume spoilers for the entire game. Good luck figuring out which Pokemon and which people are which in English since this was before I knew any of the English names. Possibly even before the English names existed.

I have Pokemon White. Suddenly time is flying past me extremely fast and I'm hanging out at Shippou City with a level 15 Koromori named <3Kokoro<3 (who was caught in an awfully pink Heal Ball), a level 15 Choroneko named Choro~n because I'm a loser, a level 16 Tsutaaja named Orochi (there's also a star at the end, but how do I type stars?!), and a level 16 Shimama named Raijinili. Or Raijiniri if you want me to romanize it properly. :( But yeah, I'm going to fight the gym leader here tomorrow.
I totally approve of the changes Black and White have made, except maybe Team Plasma since they seem pretty lame and can't think up a good excuse for their hypocrisy. But they somehow managed to artificially nostalgiafy the game by not having any of the older Pokemon available and none of the new Pokemon being related to any old ones. It really feels like I'm playing Sapphire for the first time again (to make this make sense, I went into Sapphire having been completely blinded to news of it and Ruby). Too bad it can never be like when I played Blue for the first time, but this is good enough. :( Plus, there's a pretty heavy improvement in the sound/music areas and I'm loving the idle battle animations. Some are just so cute!

I've got four badges now. Using Janobii (Lv26), Reparudasu (Lv25), Shimama (Lv25), Doredia (Lv26), Shinboraa (Lv26), and Purotooga (Lv25). AND THAT SHINBORAA IS SHINY. It was like the third one I found and I was like "well that's some stupid luck." Three's like my favorite/lucky number even. :( And I actually like its shiny version colors. But yeah, I named that Doredia Agarte (as in Tales of Rebirth) because it vaguely (no, not Veiguely) looks like her. With that little crown and veilthing and poofy dress and whatnot.
Also, I was looking at the Dream World abilities for the older Pokemon, and... Seaking's Dream World ability is Lightningrod? What. For people who don't know, Lightningrod was buffed for Black and White and now it invalidates the damage from electric attacks and raises your special attack (I think it was special attack, anyway) when you get hit by them in addition to its old effect of drawing all electric attacks to the abilityholder. So Seaking can now be immune to electricity. Fuck yeah Seaking?

I now have the seventh badge in Pokemon White. Jarooda is actually a lot better than he looks considering the low attack stats and terrible movepool. Like, even without his dream world ability+Leaf Storm. Leaf Blaaaade~! It's even better with Leech Seed and Coil. :( And for reference I killed Hachiku by spamming Leaf Blade after a single Coil (and a Swagger, but that's totally not my fault and I'm not sure why anyone would risk using Swagger on a physical attacker). Anyway, yeah. The point is that I love Leaf Blade and people hating on my giant grass snake Pokemon make me frown.
