I beat Gloria Union, so:
• I don't think I can listen to Kana Hanazawa anymore. I played too much Graces, saw too many recent shows that had her as part of the cast, and now this game. URESHIKUNAI~!
• This game was obviously made with the English-speaking audience in mind. Why, I remember back in the day when Atlus said "Yggdra Union" was pronounced "Iggdruh Onion." And then I played this game, and in two of the tutorials about unions Ishut thinks Elisha's talking about onions. I love Sting. ... pretty sure the Minesota/Minnesota thing isn't a coincidence either.
• I like Minesota when he first shows up. Partially because his name is almost Minnesota, and partially because he just freaks out. KORAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Too bad he gets boring after you beat him up. :(
• I keep reading result as reslut. I need a new brain.
• Raspberry talks like the turtlepeople in Graces. All that ssu everywhere! I wonder what that's even supposed to mean. I'm pretty sure Graces was the first time I've heard that.
• I'm not really a fan of Locomoco, but... I do like her lollipop staff and how she says sumasshu! in a really cute way for her flash attacks.
• I'm kind of sorry that I can't stop mentioning Graces but... I mean there are Rurubots and she's voiced by Kana Hanazawa and Raspberry is a turtle. What else am I supposed to think of?!
• I really hate Tracy. Every time I fight her it's awful, since she changes cards, usually just in time to screw me over. Medusa Eye shouldn't exist. :(
• The Engrish is still around, so I am happy. Cauterize it with moxa, The girl are my bride, Prayer of a life that want to send, etc.
• Speaking of "the girl are my bride" I'm pretty sure the battle that showed up in was kind of silly. All I remember was beating up people who basically tried to get the numbers of the female characters, and then finding Anne getting hit on by Rogan. Giant dead skeleton pirate guy. Yeah. And then after we help her beat him up, he's all "YOU ARE NOT MY TYPE. FAREWELL."
• It seems weird that you actually meet the parents of main characters in BU/GU. Too bad I hate Enryetta with a passion, all because of Etherion + Holy together. That was awful. It probably doesn't help that she's Mai Nakahara and I'm pretty sure I'm starting to dislike her. Dunno why.
• COME ON, CANDY POWER!
Anyway, overall I liked it better than BU, but YU is still better... and part of the problem there is that GU still has the visual issues that BU did that prevented me from ever seeing my stats when I wanted to. But it had better music, art, more interesting new cards, and since it was longer battles didn't seem so sluggish near the end like they did in BU (thanks to low stats). Too bad stat-raising items are still terrible. I miss how they worked in YU. I don't know that the story in GU was better than BU, though. BU was all fanservice, but GU was robots and collecttheelementalcards. So I don't know...

I did a second playthrough of Gloria Union and got the B ending. I used Pamela and felt like it was a mistake the whole time because every single BF with Undines was awful since she's weak to them and I didn't really use any axe people. On the bright side, Enryetta was always a piece of cake (she was ridiculous in my first playthrough). I was going to go to the positive fame BFs again for my C end run, but then I got Sand Storm and realized how glorious it would be to use it on every single Undine that gave me trouble. Of course, Pamela has that geo skill effect, so she doesn't need them to be on desert terrain to destroy everything with that awesome damage formula. And it overkills Undines. NO REGRETS.

I finished Gloria Union again, so now I've gotten all the endings. Geo Pamela is the best Pamela. I maxed out Sand Storm, actually. :( It was just that awesome. Although, BU and GU have really low maximums for card power. It's 5000 instead of 9999, so not really impressive. I'm surprised the C end wasn't the canon ending. Like, they have the stupid manta ray (totally a reference to the Manta Mantle you need) in the opening and the whole thing's way more dramatic and stuff. It's just 100% better than the other endings, which are pretty dumb.
