Assume spoilers for the entire game, all optional content, etc... though I hadn't actually done the post-game dungeon yet when I wrote any of this.

This has pretty awesome graphics (though it's been a bit lacking in colorfulness). And it's published by Sega who does a slightly better job of letting everyone know (BEFORE they buy the game) that this game was in fact not made by them. But yeah. Everything's all super stylish. I especially love Leanne/Reanbell's default outfit. And being able to buy clothes so you can make your own outfits for them is... well, kind of a bad thing, actually. I keep spending all of my money on the clothes instead of buying weapon upgrades. But it's so fun and sometimes silly!
This game has also convinced me that Nobuyuki Hiyama is incapable of doing voices for normal characters. They always have to be weirdos. My only true complaint about this game so far is that "dungeons" are extremely boring. I guess they just took so many concepts from VP2 that it feels wrong for the dungeons to just be "areas that you walk slowly through and kill enemies in and at the end there's a boss." I feel like there should be more to them. I guess RoF's world map is infinitely more interesting than VP2's, though. Maybe that's supposed to balance it out. ... But that world map doesn't even begin to compare to photon swapping puzzles.. :(

Well, Resonance of Fate is always amusing. There was some yeti boss that shot ice lasers. He was kind of a jerk. I got Full Scratch on him on my first attempt but one of my handgun users was frozen just before that and my other one was frozen right after that. And my machinegun user had the Magazine Case, so no grenades... so basically there was no way to kill him. But hey. It's a laser yeti. You can't go wrong with that, right? And there are silly item descriptions like "This microchip is fried like a potato chip" and something about the Dog Droppings item being "mostly" dry. Yeah...
I'm starting to like the music more and more, but the stuff that isn't done by Sakuraba still bugs me. It's great and all that, but it's... it's like how classical music uses dynamics a ton so it's not really something you'd want to listen to on a radio. I feel like I need to adjust my volume all the time so it won't be too loud but then two seconds later I can't even hear it anymore. That bothers me. :( I feel like I had that problem with some of the songs in Tales of Legendia, too. But maybe I'm just mixing that up with my complaint that the battle music always seemed too quiet. Which is probably more because of Legendia's limited volume settings than anything else... Well, whatever. Going to play more now instead of making sure I know this vocabulary for my Japanese class tomorrow.

"This top is so hot, your washing machine will moan."
IT IS CHRISTMAS. IT IS SNOWING OUTSIDE AND I AM THROWING PRESENTS AT CHILDREN. MERRIII KURISUMASU. It feels weird to be playing this game so long after its release. I don't even know why. I guess it's just the type of game I'm used to beating, mastering, and all that other good stuff long before anyone else does. Which doesn't make any sense since I've never imported a tri-Ace game. IT'S JUST TAKING AWAY MY SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHEN I DISCOVER SOMETHING INTERESTING/USEFUL/AMUSING, KNOWING THAT EVERYONE ELSE ALREADY KNOWS. I guess that didn't happen with VP2 because I was too busy playing it while trying to beat VPL. So I didn't think other people even existed or something.
• The one-on-one fight where you only have Zephyr was like, the hardest fight in the game. For two minutes. I got frustrated at it because it ignores a bunch of well-established game mechanics and I kept dying because of that and had no idea how to actually damage the jerk. But apparently the solution was to just run past him. And then it was the easiest fight in the game.
• Ugh Christmas. This story mission was so silly but the whole "EVERYONE MOVES AT HALF SPEED AND CHILDREN SWARM YOU" thing was kind of an issue. I don't think tri-Ace expected anyone to bump into kids while trying to run/jump around like a hero. But I did it multiple times with Leanne, and I swear the animation of her standing up took at least 30 seconds. It's like I'm really playing Spectral Souls! You know, the game I could play while doing math homework!
• Talking to children after the Christmas chapter was a mistake. SOME KID SAID "I went to give Santa a big hug, and the little reindeer totally slapped me! But he did it from an angle where nobody else could see it, so now they all think I'm fibbing!" and then some other kid said "The little reindeer was looking at Santa the whole time! It was staring like it was going to eat Santa up! I heard it breathing all heavy, too! I sure hope Santa's okay..." Good job Zephyr. You've somehow managed to make this into something extremely creepy. The fact that the reindeer suits resemble that pedobear thing so much probably isn't helping. BUT SERIOUSLY SANTA OUTFITS AREN'T VERY ATTRACTIVE EVEN WHEN WORN BY ATTRACTIVE WOMEN I DON'T GET WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS.
• Vash has a lot of clothes that say they're gifts from an ex in their description. And I'm pretty sure I saw a "gift from another ex" in one of them. What kind of main characters are these.

I finally beat Resonance of Fate. Nearly 100 hours, man. And I didn't even do the kindofpostgame dungeon! I don't even know how it took that long. There are only a handful of story scenes and most of them are short anyway. And most battles are short. Just... how did this happen. I'm just glad the final boss can be set on fire because that was obnoxiously hard (I couldn't even survive past getting him to half HP without setting him on fire). I was in critical condition when I beat it, even. :( Also, I think Leanne's Quartz Hunter coat thing kinda looks like Asbel's. It's probably just the black part around the shoulders, though, since it looks totally different aside from that if I actually think about it.
