mokasuiIt's actually been a while since I last played it, but since my last post on it I've finished replaying Lion Side in Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut. I've also done a very tiny amount of Arcana Ruin... So spoilers through all of those things probably follow.

• Hairflips: 14. I think I missed 1 or 2 when I wasn't paying attention, though. Kind of a disappointingly small number, but oh well.
• I love the skit where Chaltier's just splurging about things (like he always does) and he says that he's with Lion everywhere, even in the bath. And Philia's just like. UHHHH.
• I carried over everyone's attacks because CC WAS HERE TP IS A LOSER AND MAKES CARRYING THIS JUNK OVER WORTHLESS so Philia had Indignation. And I wanted her to use it, so I had most other spells off. But I never really gave her a chance. She kept getting it off as soon as I took out the last enemy. Can't be the star of the show here anymore, Philia, I have Gessenkou and Houryuu Zankouken. Clang clang, bros.
• So I was fighting the Cave Queen (playing as Lion instead of Philia this time) and... it was advancing on us pretty well. Nearly had us cornered. And then Mary used Zan and after the first hit the boss kinda zooped to the other end of the battlefield. The rest of Zan missed, but I was sort of grateful anyway. I mean I was Evil and she's always impossible if you let her corner you. It was a much funner fight than usual, though, since Philia was spamming Indignation and I was getting billions of criticals and all this free CC from having a bunch of Chasers equipped.
• BATISTA, JEEZ. I hate this second fight with him. It was so hard, and I still never have any idea how I get through it... This time is no exception, but unlike last time I don't have any funny stories to tell about Batista dying while killing Stan.
• The Kraken was a huge jerk this time, too, for some reason. Instead of trying to smack Mary and Lion around with tentacles (there is porn of this I just know it) it kept casting ridiculous stuff like Maelstrom on Rutee and Philia, and usually catching Mary too because durr AI. Kinda rough.
• I accidentally beat Tiberius on Evil because I forgot I'd set it up there for the dungeon (which is a super easy dungeon, fight-wise, with the characters that I tend to use). Kinda cool.
• "あれ……女の子よね？" ... why would you even ask that to a random stranger. Seriously, I think this girl was sparkling and swooning for Lion because she thought he was a girl. She wants to be him, I guess. I don't know I don't really remember but it was weird.
• Chal's impersonations of Hugo and Marian were amazing. I love him so much, all these skits with him. :( I liked Hugo's impersonation the best because it actually... it actually kinda sounded like him. I need more Hideo Ishikawa in my life.
• So when I went to fight Dalis I sort of completely forgot what his weaknesses and resistances were like and went in with a not so great party for it. The result:
... actually not that bad. Uh, combo-wise, anyway. The damage was terrible the whole time. Eventually I lost so I just came back with Mary and all was good.
• f yeah killing final enemies in the middle of Houryuu Zankouken and zooping like three times off into one straight direction. So disorienting, but somehow so fun. I love these stupid Houryuu blahblahken attacks in these games.
• Greybaum was fun, as usual. Doublelion! It's like a dandelion, but less dandy and with more clang. Also the dragon is so annoying on higher difficulties, since it attacks so fast. No long combos for me.
• LION IN GLASSES SKIT. Lion considers wearing glasses. Hugo wears them too, so why not, right? Chal starts yelling about how all the girls will love him and he drops that idea immediately.
• I also love Lion's reaction to hearing Chal's military rank. So depressed. So shocked. NO WONDER THE WORLD WAS IN SUCH A BAD STATE, RIGHT BOCCHAN?
• I didn't really write anything in my notes for the story after this but I'm sure my thoughts were filled with CHAL IS SUCH A BRO and STUPID FABULOUS KIDS GOTTA STOP MAKING ME CRY. This game, man.
• I have grinded on floor 1 of Arcana Ruin so many times on Simple. I hate it. :( But I definitely came in at a level that's too low for me to be able to handle it. I should be able to do Normal without terrible difficulty soon, though, and then I'll probably start moving on to other floors since I already got the Ena Sphere. I can grind on floors that I still need the spheres from.
Until next time, I guess. It might be a while before I feel up to more grinding, though...
